If someone fails to unlock your phone, Loktra captures who did it — photo, video or audio (no shutter sound), tagged with the location — and saves the media straight to your own Google Drive, never our servers. About Loktra

Loktra is an anti-theft application for Android phones, published by Densmac. It protects the single phone it is installed on: when someone repeatedly fails to unlock that phone, Loktra captures a photo, video or audio clip of the person, tags it with the device's location, and delivers that evidence to the phone owner. The owner can also locate, ring or lock the phone remotely if it is lost or stolen. It is not a monitoring tool: it cannot be used to watch another person, another device, or anyone who has not installed it themselves.

Why Loktra asks for your Google account

Evidence of a theft is only useful if it survives the theft. Anything stored solely on a stolen phone can be wiped by whoever took it, so Loktra sends the evidence off the device — to storage the owner already controls. It uses your Google account for that, and for nothing else. Loktra never sells data and shows no advertising.

Saving the evidence to your Google Drive

Loktra creates a folder named “Loktra” in your Google Drive and uploads the captured photos, videos and audio into it, so the evidence is safe even if the phone never comes back. It asks for the narrowest Drive permission Google offers, which grants access only to the files Loktra itself creates. Loktra cannot see, read or modify any other file in your Drive. Media is never uploaded to our servers.

Emailing the alert to you

So the alert reaches you when you no longer hold the phone, Loktra emails you a link to the evidence in your Drive. It asks for Gmail's send-only permission and sends that alert from your own Google account to you, rather than through a server we operate — so the message comes from you, and its contents never pass through us. Send-only means exactly that: it cannot read, search, list, modify or delete anything in your mailbox. The only message Loktra ever composes is the alert about your own device.

What Loktra never does

No access to your other Drive files, no reading of your mail, no contacts, no browsing history, no advertising identifiers, and no sale or sharing of your data with third parties. The captured media goes to your Drive and your inbox — never to us. Full detail is in our Privacy Policy, which also explains how to delete everything.

Intruder capture

After a few failed unlocks (you set the number), Loktra captures a front-camera photo, video and/or audio — with the location, without a shutter sound, even from the lock screen. You choose which media and how long.

Location tagged

Every capture is pinned with where it happened, so you know exactly where your phone was taken.

Your Google Drive

Evidence uploads to a private folder in your Drive — never our servers. You get a secure link and an email alert.

Remote control

From the Loktra web portal on any other phone or computer: locate, lock, ring a loud alarm, or capture a photo. Erase it with Google Find My Device.

Private by design

Captures stay in Loktra's private, app-only storage on your phone and upload over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection straight to your own Google Drive — never to our servers.

Tamper alerts

Detects SIM swaps and blocks uninstall — trying to remove Loktra snaps a photo and warns you.

Arm it once

Open Loktra, grant the permissions, and hold to arm. An ongoing notice shows it’s protecting your phone — or turn on the optional Stealth mode to hide that notice, so a thief sees nothing. Your app icon stays visible either way.

Someone tries to break in

A wrong PIN or pattern instantly triggers a capture (no shutter sound) of whoever’s holding your phone.

Evidence lands in your Drive

The photo, video, or audio — plus the location — is uploaded over an encrypted connection to your own Google Drive, and emailed to you as a link.

You take back control

Locate it on a map, sound an alarm, or lock it — remotely, from the Loktra web portal on any device signed in to your account. Erase it with Google Find My Device.

The one thing our backend holds, in your own account, is what's needed for remote control: your device list and, when you run a remote “locate”, that device's last coordinates so your portal can map it.
